Ingredients
  

Noodles
  • 8 oz rice noodles
  • 12 oz beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 Thai red chilies sliced optional
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup Thai basil leaves
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp lime juice optional

Equipment

  • Wok or large skillet
  • Pot for noodles
  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Method
 

  1. Cook rice noodles according to package instructions and drain.
  2. Heat oil in a wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add garlic and chilies and stir-fry until fragrant.
  4. Add sliced beef and cook quickly until browned.
  5. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and broth.
  6. Add cooked noodles and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Add basil and sesame oil and toss briefly.
  8. Serve hot with optional lime juice and garnish.

Notes

Thai basil adds authentic flavor but regular basil can be used as a substitute.
