Ingredients
  

Crust
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.25 tsp salt
Filling
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 2 cups pecans

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, butter, and salt and press into the pan.
  3. Bake crust for 15–18 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. Whisk corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and salt.
  5. Stir in pecans and pour filling over hot crust.
  6. Bake 25–30 minutes until set.
  7. Cool completely, then cut into bars.

Notes

For best results, toast pecans before adding to the filling and cool completely before slicing.
