Ingredients
  

Frosting
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 cup milk add more for desired consistency
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • optional 2 oz melted semi-sweet chocolate for extra richness

Method
 

  1. Beat softened butter until creamy.
  2. Add sifted cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and salt; mix until smooth.
  3. Add milk and vanilla, adjusting consistency as needed.
  4. Fold in melted chocolate if desired for extra richness.
  5. Spread over cooled brownies and serve.

Notes

Sift cocoa and sugar to prevent lumps. Cool brownies before frosting.
