  • 1 pie crust
Cheesecake Layer
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.25 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
Apple Layer
  • 3 cups apples sliced
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp butter
Topping
  • 0.5 cup caramel sauce

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  3. Mix apples with sugar, spices, and flour.
  4. Spread cheesecake layer in crust.
  5. Add apples and dot with butter.
  6. Bake 40–45 minutes.
  7. Cool and drizzle caramel before serving.

Use tart apples for best flavor balance.
