Main
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled
  • 12 oz smoked sausage sliced
  • 0.33 cup oil
  • 0.33 cup flour
  • 1 onion diced

Method
 

  1. Cook oil and flour into a dark roux.
  2. Add vegetables and cook until soft.
  3. Add sausage and cook briefly.
  4. Pour in broth and seasonings.
  5. Simmer to develop flavor.
  6. Add okra and cook.
  7. Add shrimp and cook until done.
