Ingredients
  

Casserole
  • 600 g chicken thighs or breast
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 200 g mushrooms sliced
  • 1 cup cooking cream
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 0.5 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Large pot or Dutch oven
  • Wooden spoon
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Brown chicken in butter and olive oil.
  2. Cook onion, garlic, and mushrooms.
  3. Add broth, cream, and herbs.
  4. Return chicken to pot and simmer until cooked.
  5. Garnish and serve.

Notes

You can add Dijon mustard or white wine for extra French flavor.
