Ingredients
  

Hash Brown Crust
  • 3 cups frozen hash browns thawed
  • 3 tbsp butter melted
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
Filling
  • 6 eggs large
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 0.25 cup green onions chopped

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a pie dish.
  2. Mix hash browns, melted butter, salt, and pepper, then press into the pie dish to form a crust.
  3. Bake the crust for 20–25 minutes until crispy and golden.
  4. Whisk eggs, milk, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stir in cheddar cheese, bacon, and green onions.
  6. Pour filling into crust and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes.
  7. Cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Squeeze moisture from hash browns before baking for a crispier crust.
