- Combine warm milk and yeast in a small bowl. Let sit 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add melted butter, egg, vanilla, and yeast mixture to dry ingredients. Mix to form a soft dough.
- Knead dough 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Press dough into prepared dish. Create small dimples with fingers and spoon jam into several dimples.
- Bake 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk to make glaze. Drizzle over warm focaccia before slicing.

Experiment with different jams or add a pinch of cinnamon to the dough for extra flavor.
