Ingredients
  

Smoothie
  • 1 banana frozen if possible
  • 4 Medjool dates pitted
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • 1 cup almond milk unsweetened
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup ice cubes
  • 1 tsp maple syrup optional
  • 1 pinch sea salt

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups

Method
 

  1. Pit the dates and soak them in warm water for a few minutes if they are firm.
  2. Add banana, dates, tahini, almond milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt to a blender.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add ice cubes and blend again until thick.
  5. Taste and add maple syrup if desired.
  6. Pour into glasses and top with cinnamon or tahini drizzle.

Notes

For a thicker smoothie use frozen bananas and reduce the milk slightly.
