- Preheat oven and prepare baking pan.
- Mix cake base ingredients and press into pan.
- Beat cream cheese, eggs, butter, and vanilla.
- Add powdered sugar and cocoa and mix until smooth.
- Pour filling over base and bake 40–45 minutes.
- Cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
Do not overbake — the center should remain slightly gooey for best texture.
