Main Ingredients
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 1 cup espresso cooled
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp coffee liqueur optional

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer
  • Shot glasses or small cups

Method
 

  1. Prepare espresso and let it cool. Add liqueur if desired.
  2. Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  3. Mix mascarpone, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Fold whipped cream into mascarpone mixture.
  5. Dip ladyfingers briefly into espresso.
  6. Layer soaked ladyfingers and cream in shot glasses.
  7. Repeat layers and finish with cream.
  8. Dust with cocoa powder and chill before serving.

Notes

Chill at least 2 hours for best flavor. Avoid over-soaking ladyfingers.
